Hello everyone, if you didn't know I do advocacy with Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness of San Francisco (SCAASF) a nonprofit organization with a mission to broaden awareness about Sickle Cell Disease, advocate for patients and empower through education. SCAASF is launching an Advocacy & Empowerment program in January 2020 and they are in need of 30 patients/clients. I am taking part in this opportunity and I feel if you live with sickle cell anemia or know someone who lives with sickle cell anemia please take part in this great opportunity for the sickle cell community and yourself. The program is comprised of two primary activities. The first part consists of 3 intensive workshops held once a month designed to introduce clients to the purpose of the year-long program, present core educational content on SCD, and explore self-advocacy. The second part is the implementation of the educational content learned, with journaling and role playing along with discussions pertaining to their real world experiences. - Refreshments will be served at all meetings
-$50 Gift Card & Health and Wellness bag at the end of the program
-Transportation Assistance available
