“Wandering free, wish I could be,
part of that world 🧜🏽♀️💗” Some people ask me how it’s like to go down the ocean, to freedive. Let me start with a story on how it’s like,
I’m obese, dati hirap ako lumubog sa tubig, super buoyant ko (up to now naman) but that didn’t stop me from dreaming that someday I will see the ocean and the living creatures on it with my own eyes, up close.
Dati kapag nagbi-beach, masaya na ko sa pagtampisaw, masaya na ko maka-awra, but it didn’t stop right there. I wanted more, I want to experience more, I want to see more. I want to be “somehow” part of the ocean.
Yung beach na nakakapagbigay ng relaxation sa halos lahat ng tao, makita lang at makapagtampisaw di ba bawing bawi ka na kahit malayo pa ang binyahe mo.
Imagine what more if you go diving in it, imagine swimming with the fishes, turtles, sharks, whales! Imagine being lost to the colors of the corals, super mezmerizing.
Some people ask me what it’s like to hold your breath and sink to the ocean. They imagine nakakatakot. I say it’s breath taking. Logically and figuratively. With one breath it takes you to another world.
No one can put boundaries on your aspirations, ikaw magse-set nyan. Nobody can tell you na ganito lang kaya mo kasi ganito ka. You set your own limits. You of all people know yourself. Kaya kung sasabihin mo sa sarili mong kaya mo, e kaya mo!
