Feeling unsteady? Don't worry, you're just in the midst of a shift... nothing to panic about.
Unfortunately, shifting feels a lot like destabilizing, falling, tripping, and maybe a little bit like being drunk on the universe. If you feel foggy-headed and as though the world is literally changing before your eyes, stay the course - this too shall pass, and things will start to feel more stable as you adjust.
Give yourself a moment to re-calibrate. Don't beat yourself up if your reactions seem bigger than usual, out of proportion, or uncharacteristic - the person you are becoming is not the person you were, and you must not only navigate the shift from one entity to another, but also ensure that you are content with the person you are becoming, and this can feel like a lot of pressure.
We must each learn to be our own anchors, and let the world move around us. Ride the waves, but focus on your self as much as possible. Communication may feel difficult, so don't even try, unless you fancy frustrating yourself even further. You are the one with the answers you need - stop looking to external sources! No one can advise because no one but you knows who you are becoming, and well-intentioned but misplaced advice will only make you feel more isolated, and make the storm seem worse than it really is.
In the meantime, try not to beat yourself up. You didn't choose this shift, you didn't choose this storm - you must only survive it. On the other hand, you're not the only one feeling the intensity or the terror, so try to go easy on yourself and your loved ones - many of us can't put into words what we're feeling and don't know how to ask for support at an already stressful time of year. Practice staying connected to what matters to you, taking deep breaths before you speak, and demonstrating loving patience to those around you. Don't forget, we're all in this together, and we're going to need our allies if we want to make it through intact.
