WEEK 44 - Technical: Magic ND Filter. Use an ND filter combined with a shutter speed of 30 seconds or even longer to create your image. Try a waterscape or even a busy landmark to see the magic happen. .
Shot this today while atop Piestewa Peak Mountain. Even with blue hour, and plenty of cloud cover (including a little rain), I had to use an ND16 to reach a 30 second exposure of the tail lights and head lights coming off the cars. I've shot this before, but by using the built-in multi exposure, image stacking technique that the Sony camera app creates, but it only spits out a jpeg, whereas this was a single raw exposure which gives me more post processing flexibility. I didn't notice until I pixel peeped that there was a bit of blur from either wind or sensor shake, but it kind of made a fiery effect which I don't mind.
Shot at f6.3, 30 sec, ISO 100, 56mm prime.
